Wanda Lee Atkinson was born November 19, 1952, and departed this life Monday, May 26, 2025, reaching the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of the late Henry Hamilton "Ham" Atkinson and Beatrice Earl (Hicks) Atkinson.

She is survived by: three siblings, Olene (Ford) Morgan, Donna Shelton, and Mintford Atkinson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Atkinson, all of Wayne County; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Ham and Beatrice Atkinson, she was preceded in death by: her brothers, Jack Atkinson and Henry Atkinson; sisters, Betty Crabtree, Alva Pendelton, Ruth Ann Wilson, Dorothy Atkinson, and Lavon Morrow.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2025, between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
