Obituary
'Warren G. Slagle, age 95, was born November 7, 1922 in the Slickford community the son of the late Moah and Ollie Morgan Slagle. He departed this life Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Warren served his county with honor during the Second World War in the Navy on the USS Hedron in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Battle.
On August 18, 1947 he united in marriage with Flonnie Alice Gregory Slagle who passed away March 3, 2008. To this union four children survive: Roger Slagle, Diane Brown, Patsy Lupinek and Eddie Slagle.
Also surviving is one brother, Jason Slagle and grandchildren: Felicia Biggerstaff, Casey Slagle, Mark Brown, Jay Slagle, Gabe Lupinek, Allen, Jake and Jerica Slagle; great grandchildren: Andrew, Sierra, Katie, Heather, Matthew, Joleen and Treyk and a great-great grandson Jander.
Warren is preceded in death by his siblings: Dicie Mae McGlocklin, Caleb, Hershel "Buck", Lincoln, Lee, Fletcher and Lester Slagle.
As a young man, Warren accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of the Sandy Valley Baptist Church.',
