Wendell S. Ramsey, age 71, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 19 ^th , 2021 at the Golden Years Nursing Home.

He was born February 11 ^th , 1950 in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of the late Clarence and Marie Eads Ramsey.

Wendell is survived by his two sons; Brock (Becky) Ramsey and Nathan Ramsey (Companion Lindsey Cooper), one brother; Jonathan (Rhonda) Ramsey, three grandchildren; Marissa (Shawn) Davis, Leah and Kelan Ramsey, one great grandson; Hudson Davis, four nieces; Beverly Wray, Belinda Ramsey, Brenda Hunter, and LeAnn Boils, one nephew; Rhett Ramsey. Along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Ramsey as well as one brother, Bruce Ramsey.

Wendell had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church where he was ordained as a Deacon on July 23 ^rd , 2016.   He was also a former member of the National Guard. He loved teaching Sunday School and Sunday night Bible Training class. He also loved cooking, camping, traveling, and talking with others. Wendell never met a stranger. He was a man of many talents, a solid rock for his family, a devoted Christian, Father, and friend to all.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23 ^rd from 9AM until 1PM with funeral services following at 1PM at the Faith Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Faith Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church Youth Group, or the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan.
