'Willard \u0027Bill\u0027 Martin was born November 21, 1927 the son of the late Henry Ellis and Lottie Jane Tucker Martin. He departed this life Monday afternoon, November 28, 2016 in the Emergency Room of the Wayne County Hospital, reached an age of 89 years.

On January 20th, 1950, he united in marriage with Alma Marie Martin, who passed away July 20, 2014. To this sixty-four-year union four children survive; Brenda and husband Joe Ed Shelton, Curtis and wife Beulah Martin, Ralph and wife Rebecca Martin and Michael and wife Susie Martin along with one brother; Noble Martin and two sisters; Opel Godsey and Lillie Keith. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Troy, Dustin, Rance and Jacob Martin, Amanda Parmley and Tyler and Willard Shelton along with ten great grandchildren; Draven and Miles Parmley, Madison, Nicholas, Christian, Alex, Harper and Blevins K. Martin, Rylee and Brody Shelton along with a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Dillard Martin.

Willard was retired form K \u0026 M Lumber Company. He was a lifelong member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church where he served his Lord as Deacon. He remained faithful and active to his church as long as his health allowed.
