William Dorsey Burnette was born October 10, 1946, in Monticello, KY, and departed this life Wednesday, February 21, 2024, reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of (the late) William Lewis and Verna Elizabeth (Bertram) Burnette.

He is survived by his significant other, Asonia Ison; 2 daughters, Angela Hyde (Curtis Hayden), and Aretha Hunter; 1 sister, Margie Newell; 4 grandchildren, William Hyde, Allyiah Stamper, Tayshaun Stamper, Taaron Hunter; a host of nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Clyde Bertram; 1 sister, Theresa Burnette; and by his nephew, Danny Hunter.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 12 PM – 1 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
