William Richard Gossage was born August 6, 1934, and departed this life January 2, 2024, reaching the age of 89 years.  He was the son of Frilbie and Roxie (Walker) Gossage.

The joy of his life was watching his great granddaughter Olivia "Lib" play tennis.

He is survived by a daughter Kulissa Clark; 2 granddaughters, Ceysha Clark and Casi Clark; 2 grandsons, Cody Clark, and Jessie Doss; and 2 great granddaughters, Olivia Clark, and Maisie Doss.

Richard is also survived by 2 sisters, Verdena (Willie) Brilbrey, and Vanda Guffey; 3 brothers, Paul Ray (Helen) Gossage, Jimmy (Ruth) Gossage, and Ronald Gossage.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Richelle "Chell" Gossage; great granddaughter, Emila Marie Doss; 1 sister, Mary Gladys Heinzl; 2 brothers, Obie Frilbie Gossage, and Donald Gossage.

Richard was baptized as a young man and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was a welder by trade, working pipeline construction until retirement.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 2 PM until 5 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be Friday, January 5, 2024, at 5 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home chapel.
