William O. Morrow, age 79 departed this life on September 2, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. William was born on March 25, 1941 in Delta Kentucky to the late Roe and Rosa Kidd Morrow. William was a 1963 graduate of Wayne County High School. William was married to Ann (Quillen) Morrow on January 3, 1969 and were married until Ann's death in 2004.
William married Brenda (Jones) Morrow in April 2009 after they became reacquainted at a Wayne County High School 45th year reunion. William and Brenda were friends since they were small children. They were blessed with a lifetime of friendship and 11 years of marriage and love.
William was very proud of his family and loved them very much and will be greatly missed by his children Kathy Morrow of Columbus, IN, Matthew (Lien) Morrow of Tacoma, WA, Kelly (Joe) Haynes of Berea, KY. Stepfather to Roland (Joey) Moore, Richard (Chikako) Moore and Mary (Chris) Jasper. He was a loving grandfather to Daulton Haynes, Cooper Haynes, Tucker Haynes, April Morrow, Megan Morrow, Aliya Halcomb, Caitlyn (Eric) Crowder, Christopher Moore, Justin Moore, Joshua Moore and great grandfather to Haley Jones, Brevin Jones and Abby Crowder. He was the brother of Rita New, Harold (Linda) Morrow and Nina Dean.
Proceeding William in death was his wife Ann, parents Roe and Rosa Morrow, brothers Eulas, Jason, Windell, Bobby and sisters Opal, Addie, Anna Lee, Eva, Ruby, Mallie, Frances, Della and Ina Pearl.
William will be remembered as an avid hunter and loved being outside on the land that he had built his life on. He was a storyteller and inventor and was always trying to create and build things. William rarely forgot a name or face and could remember people from his years working at Cummins and Tecumseh even after years of retirement. He was a proud US Army Veteran and Christian. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Delta, Kentucky. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
William's desire to spread God's word is one of the last things that he requested and all donations will be used to purchase Bibles in his memory.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2020 between 11 am - 1 pm at the Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 1 pm at the Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Morrow Cemetery.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some limitations and restrictions for service attendance. Please feel free to sign the online guestbook or send a private condolence message through our website.
