Obituary
'William, better known as \u0027Billy\u0027 Alvin Sexton was born March 8th, 1942 in the Shearer Valley Community of Wayne County, the son of the late Orville and Vena Denney Sexton and passed away Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington reaching the age of seventy years.
On April 28th, 1962 he united in marriage with Mary Una Huffaker Sexton and to this fifty year union two children survive: Becky and husband John Lewis and Alvin and wife Melanie Sexton and his siblings Lois Shoemaker of Danville, Kentucky and Jerry Sexton of Monticello. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Emilie Sexton and Jordan Bertram with several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his siblings; Tommy and Bobby Sexton.
Billy had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young boy and attended the Faith United Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Training Union Teacher and a faithful servant until his passing.
He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends that loved him so much.
