'William Ray \u0027Willie\u0027 Branscum was born December 3rd, 1949 in the Delta community of Wayne County, the son of the late William Delbert \u0027WD\u0027 Branscum and Corda Young Branscum who survives. Willie passed away Tuesday, May 7th, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital reaching an age of 63 years.

On June 16, 1994 he united in marriage with, Deborah Thompson Branscum who survives. Surviving are his children Melissa and her husband Mike Hampton of Greenfield, Indiana; William Ray Branscum Jr and Jason Reid Branscum both of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Also surviving are his four grandchildren: Adam and Scott Hampton, Jaylen and Jason Branscum Jr.; his sisters: Marilyn Elam, Debbie Foster, Carla Baughman and his brother: Ralph Branscum with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. His brother, Dwight passed away as result of a tragic accident in 1977.

Willie was a lifelong member of the Lower Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Willie loved his church family and his community, a friend to all and a stranger to none.
